    @gd137
    The modem on default settings should be ok. Its setup already to contact the ISP and make a connection. I don’t see any settings on the dcm-202 that would kill access. If no one can access the wifi then its a wifi router problem since that device sits between them and the internet. Concentrate on connecting to the wifi first, then attack the internet access problem.

    Hi Jeff – Great video to have online. Better than anything I’ve seen. Any recommendations on how to RE-configure once you’ve gone through the process already? I set the security settings on my DCM-202 modem when I first set it up – but no one else can access the wifi. When I pull up the webpage – there are no original settings. I’m afraid to reconfigure and lose everything – or worse, lose access altogether. Any guidance?

    @wfcastle33 thanx but now im trying to put a password on the setup wizard and i setup a router name and everything but it says wireless security password 2 to 20 characters and it doesnt finish when i clic next
    but does this help there is a note at the bottom( You will need to enter the unique security key generated into your wireless clients enable proper wireless communication – not the password you provided to create the security key

    @KaliGamer
    Try admin for the username. For the password its should be either (meaning none) or admin or password.

    NAT won’t stop the 360. I have mine hooked up to a wireless bridge with no special additions to the router.

    i cant access the internet on my pc. and because of that i cant hook up wirelessly. Im not missing anything in the LAN section. what could be the problem?

    Check the router status page to make sure it has as external IP address from your ISP and valid DNS servers. Check your laptop to see if it is getting an IP address from your router.

    Reset the router to the default settings. Use the reset button on the back. Plug into your router with a computer and start over. Thats the easiest way.

    40MHz has more power and coverage area for N networks. However, you may stomp on your neighbors, so depending on how close you are to other networks, 20 Mhz may be better
